FCA Legislative Support

FCA offers legislative support through its legislative consultants Mike Oscar and Bob Gray. Combined, they have more than 30 years of experience on Capitol Hill. Through Gray and Oscar, FCA offers many services that support FCA members in local and national government for both the U.S. and Canada. These services include, but are not limited to:

  • Legislative monitoring
  • Legislative and funding opportunities (both nationally and locally)
  • Legislative strategy development
  • Aid to FCA Affiliates on local issues
  • Digitally distribute timely Legislative Updates and FCA's bimonthly newsletter, Federal Connection.

FCA members are an integral part in driving the North American economic engine forward, and we encourage members to communicate with our legislative consultants for local aid and guidance on national issues. Contact your FCA Regional Vice President to learn more about the value offered by this support for your association or business.

Right-to-Work

With Indiana becoming the 23rd right-to-work state, FCA has been receiving questions on right-to-work laws. We have published two memos that offer detailed information on the effects right-to-work laws have on contractors.

Right-to-Work Q&A: This Q&A provides a general overview of right-to-work laws and how it affects union contractors.

Indiana's Right-to-Work Statute to Traveling Contractors: This memorandum explains what impact Indiana's right-to-work law has on contractors that are sent to work in a different state that does not have a right-to-work law. Consequentially, this memorandum offers a terrific explanation of how traveling contractors are affected by right-to-work laws.

Contact your regional vice president today if you have further questions regarding right-to-work laws!
